Research Interests: Law and Economics, Regulation, Law and Finance

Prof. Xi is the Qianduansheng Chair Professor and the HonoraryDean of School of Law and Economics. He is also the founder of the School. He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Chinese Academy of Social Science. Before he joined China University of Political Science and Law in 2005, he worked in the National People’s Congress of China for more than 10 years. Prof. Xi has visited numerous oversea academic institutions, including the University of Chicago, the University of Columbia, the University of Bologna, and the University of Hamburg. His research interests mainly lie in law and economics, financial regulation, and cost and benefit analysis. Prof. Xi has made more than 100 academic publications in both Chinese and English, which have received more than 1000 citations. His articles were published in world-renowned journals, including Management World, World Economy, Tribune of Political Science and Law, and Economic Theory, and Business Management.
