Research Interests: Securities law, corporate governance, company law, and law and economics

Shunyu Chi joined the School of Law and Economics of China University of Political Science and Law in June 2020. He has extensive research interests, which mainly lie in the fields of securities law, corporate governance, company law, and law and economics. He holds an LLM in International Economic Law and a Law Ph.D both from the University of Edinburgh in the UK. He completed his undergraduate studies at China University of Political Science and Law. Shunyu is also a part-timepracticinglawyer in the PRC. Prior to his doctorate study at the University of Edinburgh, Shunyupracticedin the areas of merger and acquisitions, insurance capital investments, commercial contract negotiations and general corporate matters for two years. He has represented many renowned financial institutions, state-owned enterprises, and privately held companies in their strategic investments, restructurings, and acquisitions in the PRC.
